LAGUNA WOODS, Orange County — October 25, 2026. The City of Laguna Woods plans its first annual Housing Forum for Monday, October 26, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Laguna Woods City Hall, 24264 El Toro Road. The city published a formal announcement October 7, explaining that the discussion will address state housing laws, local housing needs and homelessness in Orange County.
How to reserve a place
The city says space is limited and RSVPs are required. Interested residents should contact cityhall@lagunawoods.gov or call (949) 639-0500 for availability and participation details. The published notice does not promise that walk-ins will be admitted or that open seats remain on the day of the event.
Who is presenting?
The municipality identifies speakers from Laguna Woods city staff, People for Housing OC and Orange County government. Participants are invited to ask about the implementation of California housing requirements and the area’s housing challenges. A public educational forum is not itself a hearing approving a development, an announcement of rental assistance or a change to local zoning.
Find the official Council record
The city’s 2026 City Council records page lists an October 21 regular meeting, with later sessions expected November 18 and December 16. Laguna Woods normally schedules regular Council meetings on the third Wednesday at 2 p.m., according to its public-meeting guide. Residents can subscribe to notice emails and request accessibility accommodations through the City Clerk. The meeting schedule and housing forum are distinct activities.
Laguna Woods News welcomes verified housing resources, resident questions and corrections.
